Once again during this holiday season, Blue Élan Records is pleased to make a difference for foster children. The label is continuing its annual tradition of releasing Holiday tracks with the label profits from each download, stream, or purchase of these songs going to benefit The Alliance for Children's Rights.

This year's holiday song selection includes:

"Shine Down on Us"-Gina Sicilia & The Blue Élan Family. Written by Gina Sicilia, this is a collaboration among many members of our label family-Gina, Cindy Alexander, Brie Darling (Fanny/Fanny Walked the Earth/Boxing Gandhis), Jesse Dayton, Lisa Lambe (Celtic Woman), Carla Olson (Textones), Chelsea Williams, Rusty Young, and friends Ali Handel, Chip Moreland, Simon Morgan, and Paul Trudeau, and produced by Dave Darling.

"Everybody Wants Peace On Earth"-Mustangs of the West. An original track by one of the early 90's all-girl alt-country bands, with 2 new members, including Aubrey Richmond, the long-time fiddle-player and vocalist with Shooter Jennings.

"Christmas Every Day"-Rusty Young. The oh-so recognizable voice and harmonies made famous on his classic Poco tracks, including "Crazy Love" and "Call It Love."

"Peppermints and Mistletoe"-Chelsea Williams. The lush voice, sounds, and production-and a haunting melody-on an original by this singer named by Rolling Stone as one of "10 New Artists You Need to Know."

"Jesus and Mohammed"-Jack Tempchin, Jesse Dayton, and Rusty Young. Written by the Eagles Songwriter Jack Tempchin ("Peaceful Easy Feeling," "Already Gone"), the track features Jack, Jesse Dayton, and Rusty Young. This first-time collaboration goes far beyond the holidays.

Kirk Pasich, Blue Élan's co-founder and President, says, "Helping children is something very important to our entire label family. Our artists donate their time and creative skills and help us help foster children. And, the Alliance for Children's Rights does so much to help foster children-and families who want to adopt foster children. We like to do our small part-and hope you enjoy listening, knowing that by doing so, you, too, are helping foster children."

The Alliance for Children's Rights isan organization that protects the rights of impoverished, abused, and neglected young people. By providing free legal services, advocacy, and programs that create pathways to jobs and education, the Alliance levels the playing field and ensures that children who experience foster care are able to fulfill their potential.
