Following the success of the first two seasons of its original series Song by Song, Ovation, America's only arts network, has ordered new blocks of the documentary music series from the Emmy-nominated production team at TH Entertainment, LLC. The series continues its focus on music legends with new episodes featuring such A-list sensations Sheryl Crow, BLONDIE and Lindsey Stirling. The announcement was made today by Scott Woodward, SVP, Programming and Production, Ovation.

"Song by Song is a different twist on the music documentary genre. This series uses the featured artists' hit songs to tell the story of what was happening at that time in their lives, what inspired them to write the music and how their songs impacted their careers and popular culture," said Woodward. "Ovation had great success with our first two seasons, focused on legends Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton. The series continues to grow and cross musical genres and eras with Sheryl Crow, BLONDIE and Lindsey Stirling, and we couldn't be more excited to work with these cultural icons."

Ovation will kick off the new season this October with Song by Song: Sheryl Crow, focusing on the singer/songwriter's hits "Strong Enough," "If It Makes You Happy," "My Favorite Mistake," and "Redemption Day."

Song by Song: BLONDIE will premiere this November, featuring the pop/rock/punk super-group's mega hits "One Way or Another," "Heart of Glass," "Call Me," and "Rapture." Founding Band members Deborah Harry, Chris Stein and Clem Burke are interviewed.

Song by Song: Lindsey Stirling will focus on the classically trained electronic violinist, performance artist and composer who has become an Internet sensation since first launching her Youtube channel, Lindseystomp, in 2007, which now has over 5 million subscribers. With over half a billion You Tube views, Stirling has become one of the biggest artist-development breakthrough stories in history.

Most recently, Stirling's sophomore release "Shatter Me" debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart and #1 on the iTunes album chart. Ovation will look at Stirling's hits "Crystallize" and "Elements," which together have garnered over 136 million Youtube views, in two brand new episodes set to premiere this December.

Ovation kicked off its Song by Song franchise in 2012 with the premiere of Song by Song: Johnny Cash, which focused on the stories behind six of the country music legend's most enduring hit songs. The series was a critical and ratings success for the network, inspiring a second six-episode season, Song by Song: Dolly Parton, which premiered in early 2013.

Song by Song is co-produced by TH Entertainment, LLC with Ovation for worldwide distribution.
