Following their incredible performance at Reading & Leeds last weekend, industrial noise-punk duo Black Futures have released their new single, 'Trance', as well as announcing the release of a very special, limited-edition, vinyl only EP.
A barrage of undulating tones and sonic euphoria, 'Trance' weaves between anthemic hooks and chaotic instrumentals, juxtaposing glistening vocals with industrial aural anarchy.
The duo said of the new track, "Existence is a truly wondrous, complex, wild, violent, vivid and beautiful conundrum that we're completely mesmerised by. 'Trance' is our expression of awe and fascination for the worlds we live in. We feel it is important to appreciate and celebrate as many triumphs of nature and human creativity as possible. Mainline that empathy and admiration to your soul as a constant inspiration to exist with pure maximum positive vigour! Never let the bastards grind you down! NEVER NOT NOTHING"
The track follows the release of their previous singles 'Karma Ya Dig!?', 'Love' and 'Riches', which have variously seen the band championed by the likes of Annie Mac and Huw Stephens as Radio 1, Apple Music's A-List Rock playlist and Breaking Rock playlist, Radio X, and further press support from the likes of Upset, Kerrang, Metal Hammer, BBC Music, Louder and more.
The track will feature on the duo's upcoming Expedition 001 EP, which will be a vinyl only release, limited to 100 copies. Out on October 5th, each copy will include a screen print poster and Black Futures patch, and will only be available for purchase via the band's store.
The band have performed extensively over the summer and, in addition to Reading & Leeds, took their anarchic anthems and visceral live experience to a slew of festivals including The Great Escape, 2000 Trees, Y Not and Boardmasters.
You can watch the highlights from their recent headline show at London's Electrowerkzhere.
