Ticketmaster, a Live Nation Entertainment company, has announced that it has signed an exclusive ticketing deal with BBC Music's The Biggest Weekend. The music festival will take place on four sites, in all four nations that make up the UK, over four days across the late May bank holiday weekend (25-28 May).
After a highly competitive tender process, Ticketmaster was awarded the prestigious account by the BBC. As the event's primary ticketing platform, Ticketmaster will have over 175,000 tickets available for fans when they go on sale on Monday 12 February.
Those confirmed for THE LINEUP include Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Snow Patrol, Beck, Billy Ocean, Manic Street Preachers and many more.
Ticketmaster will provide state of the art technology for the festival's ticketing requirements in the lead up, and during the weekend across all four sites in Belfast, Coventry, Perth and Swansea - the latter to utilise Ticketmaster's paperless ticketing technology. As the only ticketing agency in the UK with multiple operational centres, Ticketmaster will support the event via its local offices in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast.
