City Parks Foundation's SummerStage is in full swing, with upcoming shows for the week of June 17th taking place all across New York City. For the most up-to-date scheduling and lineup for all SummerStage programming, visit www.SummerStage.org for all festival information.

On Wednesday June 20th, Hip-Hop legend Big Daddy Kane returns to Brooklyn to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his debut album Long Live the Kane. Originally from Bed-Stuy, Big Daddy Kane is bringing along special guests including The Finisher Mister Cee and host Doug E Fresh. This free show is from 7 to 10 PM at Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island. Doors are at 6 PM.

Also on Wednesday June 20th will be the annual Fête de la Musique, showcasing some of France's most vital voices in Central Park. Singer songwriter Vianney will be performing, along with pianist, arranger, and musical director Chassol, who has collaborated with Phoenix, Sébastien Tellier, and Frank Ocean. They will be joined by DJ, producer, visual artist, and sound designer Joakim. This free show is from 6 to 10 PM. Doors are at 5 PM. This performance is in association with France Rocks, Bureau Export and The Cultural Services of the French Embassy.

On Thursday June 21st, avant-garde indiepop group San Fermin will perform in Brooklyn's Coffey Park. Following their debut in 2013, they have opened for acts such as St. Vincent and The National. Joining them is Canadian singer-songwriter Tamara Lindeman, aka The Weather Station. This free show is from 7 to 9 PM.

Also on Thursday June 21st will be another free performance of The Metropolitan Opera Summer Recital Series. Rising stars Gerard Schneider, Gabriella Reyes de Ramírez and Adrian Timpau will perform a program of favorite opera arias and duets. This free show is from 7 to 8:30 PM in Staten Island's Clove Lakes Park.

Hip-Hop and You Don't Stop, in association with INSITU Dance Festival, will take place on Friday, June 22nd in Brooklyn's Coffey Park. This free hip-hop dance showcases celebrates the diversity with the art, and will include performances by It's Showtime NYC, Lil Buck, the all-female Passion Fruit Dance Company, Brooklyn's RestorationART Youth Arts Academy, A Lady in the House Co, and a special DJ set by hip hop dance legend Kwik Step aka DJ KS360. The showcase will also feature a performance by the CityParks PuppetMobile of "The Big Good Wolf" at 3PM and an Alvin Ailey's Revelations Celebration Community Workshop at 7 PM. The workshop will teach guests excerpts from master teacher Nasha Thomas other former Ailey company members. This free showcase will take place from 7 to 9 PM.

Saturday, June 23rd features more free SummerStage shows all across New York. Mozambique-born and Portuguese-bred singer Mariza will perform her genre-melding fado in Central Park. She will be joined by fellow Portuguese talents Noiserv, a "one-man orquestar" and pianist and composer Renato Diz. This free show is from 6 to 10 PM in Central Park. Doors are at 5 PM. This performance is in association with Arte Institute.

The Metropolitan Opera Summer Series will also continue on Saturday, June 23rd with a free show at the Bronx's Williamsbridge Oval from 3 to 4:30 PM. Rising stars Gerard Schneider, Gabriella Reyes de Ramírez, and Adrian Timpauperform a program of favorite opera arias and duets.

In Brooklyn's Coffey Park, MCs Lil Ugly Mane and Wiki will perform a free show from 5 to 7 PM on Saturday, June 23rd. They will be joined by two other concentric independent hip-hop artists: DJ Lucas and producer/label-owner Nedarb.
