The story of Beth Hart is one of extreme highs and extreme lows. Her uncommonly powerful voice and genuinely authentic presence have caused audiences to line up outside sold out shows across the world half a day early just to be close to the stage for her performance. As such, Hart has become an underground sensation with a fan base that travels the world for her every performance. Her rollercoaster life, which is one of incredible opportunity and heartbreaking loss became known to the world after her recent show-stopping Kennedy Center Honors performance with Jeff Beck to pay tribute to blues great Buddy Guy. This mesmerizing artist will be in concert at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, June 20, at 8 p.m. Maron Hotel & Suites (Danbury) is offering a $99 one-night special including a king suite and complimentary glass of wine with dinner at Vivo! Bar & Grill the night of this show. An AllShows.com VIP Party Pass ($25 addt'l per person), which includes a pre-show cocktail party from 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. with open bar, hors-d'oeuvre and priority parking, is available for this show by calling the box office (203-438-5795). This event is part of the Xfinity Rock Series.

In the late '90s, Beth Hart was on the cusp of a promising music career, signed to a major U.S. label, national television bookings, hit singles, and great press, but her career careened off the tracks at its peak due to her drug and alcohol addiction. In 2013, Hart teamed up with guitar sensation Joe Bonamassa, and together they released the Grammy-nominated album, Seesaw, which features Hart's powerhouse blues-rock vocals and Bonamassa's heavy guitar licks. Hart was also nominated for a Blues Music Award in the Best Contemporary Blues Female Artist category for her 2013 solo album, Bang Bang Boom Boom.

For tickets ($80), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or go to ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
