Bay Ledges' WHENEVER YOU SLEEP Video Premieres On Ones To Watch Image

Rising LA-based band Bay Ledges'-led by singer, songwriter and producer Zach Hurd-video for their newest single, "Wherever You Sleep," premieres on Ones To Watch. Of the track, Ones To Watch proclaims, "Bay Ledges specializes in pairing deeply personal vocals with vibrant, guitar-centric tracks, creating a dichotomy between the meaning of the song and the feeling it evokes." The track will be part of the band's forthcoming EP, coming in November. Watch/share the video here: https://bit.ly/2Rro6nm.

Made in collaboration with Miro Mackie (producer/songwriter/engineer known for his work with The Neighbourhood and St. Vincent), "Wherever You Sleep" brings a certain wistful self-awareness to its clear longing of a lost love. Of the track, Hurd explains, "I wrote this song a year ago with Joni Fatora and came back to it a couple months ago when I was in the studio with Miro Mackie. A lot had changed for me in a year. I was in a relationship that had ended and musically things have been evolving with the project. I came back and decided to rewrite the verses in a way that spoke more directly to what I'd been feeling. I like the idea of writing about heartbreak but having the music feel optimistic. Dancing while you're feeling sad. It's a song that's been through it's own evolution."

To support the EP, Bay Ledges will tour throughout the fall with Yoke Lore and Magic City Hippies, including stops in Los Angeles, Austin, San Francisco, Denver, Portland, Nashville, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, New York City and more. See below for details.

Raised on The Band, Beach Boys and Aretha Franklin records that his parents listened to at home, Zach Hurd began playing guitar in middle school and writing songs in his early teens before cutting his teeth playing open-mic nights in college. Hurd started Bay Ledges in 2015 in his bedroom; since then, he's expanded the live band to a three-piece and began taking the stage at festivals like SandJam Fest in Panama City, Festival d'ete' de Quebec, and Kaaboo in San Diego. In 2016 Hurd released "Safe" on his own and it went to #3 on Spotify's U.S. & Global Viral charts. Shortly thereafter he signed with S-Curve.
