The wheels may have come off this year's Railroad Revival Tour, but that's not going to stop Band of Horses from communing with its fans in nearly every market the tour was scheduled to hit. In light of the cancellation of the RRT's October 20-28 itinerary, Band of Horses has scrambled to fill the gaps with the following headline appearances:

10/21 - New Orleans, LA - House of Blues
10/22 - Memphis, TN - Minglewood Hall
10/23 - Tulsa, OK - Cain's Ballroom
10/24 - Houston, TX - House of Blues
10/26 - Phoenix, AZ - Marquee Theater
10/27 - San Pedro, CA - Warner Grand
10/28 - Oakland, CA - Fox Theater

As for the unfortunate demise of the Railroad Revival Tour, representatives for the promoters have released the following statement: "It is with extreme regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2012 Railroad Revival Tour. The decision to do so was a difficult one, but it was determined that certain complications would not permit us to host the shows in the manner intended, and that the bands and fans deserved. Additional information regarding refund procedures will be forthcoming, and we hope fans will take the opportunity to see these acts in other venues. Thank you."

The new dates add to a whirlwind of activity coming in the wake of the September 18 release of Mirage Rock (Brown/Columbia), which has THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER hailing Band of Horses as "America's best country-leaning pop-rock band since Wilco" and ROLLING STONE lauding the album as "full of bright Nineties noise-candy pastoralism." Recent BoH highlights have included an appearance at the Global Citizen Festival in New York's Central Park that concluded in an all star jam featuring the band alongside Neil Young, Foo Fighters, Black Keys and more, while upcoming events include a November UK/Europe tour, and U.S. headline dates running from December 3 at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor MI through December 15 at The National in Richmond VA.
