Los Angeles based indie-rock quartet, Balto, debuts their encouraging "get out and vote" single "Bulls Dream" today. The song draws inspiration from the current events that are haunting Americans and paints a vivid picture of the failures and disappointments of today's society. With enlightening lyrics accompanied by hearty folk style acoustic guitars, "Bulls Dream" is lead singer Dan Sheron's dive into topical songwriting. Sheron revealed in an interview that he formulated the poetic lyrics during a trip to the Washington coastline, "muttering to (himself) while wandering up the beach - the topic is pretty self-evident once the song starts - there's been a lot to notice recently." Balto will be donating proceeds from the single to The Southern Coalition for Social Justice.
Hailing from Los Angeles, CA Balto consists of band members Dan Sheron, Seth Mower, Ben Mower and Carl Osterlof. The band draws inspiration from artists like My Morning Jacket, Dr. Dog, Alabama Shakes, and The Arcs. In 2011, Balto unveiled their debut album October's Road, prompting the release of Monuments in 2012, 2015's Call it By It's Name, and Strangers (LP) in 2017. The three upcoming singles will be released in November and December 2018.
