Swifties rejoice! Taylor Swift is back after a three year break with her brand new single 'Look What You Made Me Do' in which she dropped Thursday August 24. It comes off her highly anticipated sixth album 'Reputation' coming out on November 10.
Before even releasing the track, the songwriter wiped all her social media accounts clean and posted mysterious clips of a snake each day leading up to the release of the single. The snake references what the media and non fans portray Swift as.
The song is completely different from what Swift has released before. It's darker and filled with chiming piano keys and electronic beats. The most talked about lyric in the song you ask? "I'm sorry, but the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? Oh..Cause she's dead." Swift is shedding her fairy-tale image and firing back at the haters.
The music video is set to premiere at this year's MTV VMAs on August 27 airing on MTV at 8 P.M. EST. For right now check out the lyric video here.
