Review: Magic Giant Drops Feel-Good Single 'Rocketman' with American Authors Image

Looking for a new feel-good group to jam out to? The answer to that question is Magic Giant. They're quickly becoming a favorite of mine, thanks to my friend constantly tweeting about them! Whenever I turn on their music, I instantly perk up and get in a better mood.

The group dropped their new single "Rocketman" featuring American Authors and it doesn't stray from their usual sound.

The song chronicles loving someone the way they want to be loved and trying your absolute hardest- even if you don't make it entirely. "I was a rocket man for you/ What you need was a diver baby/ Was I a little too late/ I was a rocket man for you/ What you need was a diver baby/ Was I a little too late," the group croons in the chorus.

The production isn't overpowering at all which makes it a very enjoyable listen.

Billboard Magazine calls Magic Giant "a joyful live show. The band is inspiring mass dance-alongs" which I could totally agree with! I've seen countless performance videos on their Instagram stories. There's even a point during their set where they jump off stage to join their fans on the floor to perform some songs acoustically. I hope to make it out to a show soon!

Magic Giant members include Austin Bisnow- lead vocals, plays the cello, synthesizer, and percussion, Zambricki Li- plays the viola, fiddle, harmonica, cello, octave mandolin, lap steel, and backing vocals, and Brian Zaghi (Zang is his stage-name)- plays the acoustic guitar, cello, upright bass, electric bass, percussion and backing vocals.

If "Rocketman" isn't enough, be sure to check out their debut album In The Wind. These releases will keep us occupied in the meantime while we wait for their second album. The alternative-rock group is also on tour and you can find their dates on magicgiant.com.

Check out a live performance of "Rocketman" below and be sure to purchase/stream the single on your favorite digital retailer.
