Today, BWW exclusively premieres Caitlin Mahoney's latest music video, 'Kept Woman.' Her latest album, "story still left to be told" was released today on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon and takes you on a journey through the true human spirit with each track exploring a different, yet, familiar experience. The album is an expression of Caitlin's unmistakable drive to never lose sight of your hopes and dreams. Check out the music video:

The music video gives homage to the play it is named after and written for. "Kept Woman" is a dark, sexy, female-driven exploration of the unspoken power dynamic of monogamy. Written by Rebekah Suellau, and produced by an all-female team, "Kept Woman" made its debut off-Broadway as part of the Araca Project at the John Cullum Theater in November 2016. The music video was directed by Suellau and features the cast of the 2016 production - Madeline Hickman, Kate Villanova, and Barrett Doyle.

Caitlin Mahoney is an independent New York City-based singer-songwriter whose voice has been praised as "powerful and soulful - a mix of Adele and Fiona Apple." With classical vocal training, a degree in creative writing, and a love for Bruce Springsteen, Caitlin brings a unique perspective to the typical female singer-songwriter sound capturing stories of a young woman's journey through life. Writing of adventure, passion, chaos and love, Caitlin has dedicated the better part of the last decade to creating music that explores all facets of the human experience.

Caitlin's honest approach to music is what continues to fulfill her fans as they gravitate toward her unapologetic authenticity. Her latest album, "story still left to be told" takes you on a journey through the true human spirit with each track exploring a different, yet, familiar experience. The album is an expression of Caitlin's unmistakable drive to never lose sight of your hopes and dreams. She recorded "story still left to be told" at The Creamery Studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

A Florida native, Caitlin was first introduced to music as an infant, likely taking her first steps with a Bruce Springsteen song tracking in the background. Performing in public for the first time at age 7, she spent her early days in children's choir and musical theater. With a true ear for music, Caitlin was transformed by passionate storytelling and began instilling this in her own musical exploration.

In April 2013, Caitlin teamed up with Brooklyn producer Jeff Fettig and independently released her debut EP, "West for a While". The four-song EP is a metaphorical exploration of what it means to "go west" and what to do once you get there.

"West for a While" received an overwhelmingly warm reception and propelled Caitlin to independently organize and execute five solo tours domestically and internationally. In 2014 alone, she played more than 110 shows across the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Italy.

Caitlin 's debut LP "Spin" was released in 2015 and was funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, which raised 150% of her goal. "Spin" is centered around life's chaos and all its different forms. Each of the seven songs covers a different challenge or obstacle and inspires courage to smile through the challenges and appreciate the growth that comes from all of it.

Her music has been featured on ABC Family, the Family Channel in Canada, Daytrotter, and in Starbucks stores throughout the United States. Since 2013, she has played more than 200 shows across the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. When Caitlin is home in Brooklyn, you can find her performing regularly at New York City venues Rockwood Music Hall and Pete's Candy Store, training for a marathon, and hosting weekly singalongs with "The Buttons," an original children's musical duo with Hannah Winkler.

Caitlin is passionate about female empowerment as well as education and regularly supports She's the First, Girls Who Code, and Girls Write Now. In 2017, she ran the New York City marathon, raising money for Project Renewal, a non-profit with the mission to end homelessness.

Caitlin also supports mid-day movies, large Diet Cokes and having beers on the beach.
