Today, brand new duo BC Unidos have released their debut EP titled Bicycle. The release, which features vocal and writing contributions from Shungudzo, Charli XCX, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Santigold, is out via Sony Sweden and is available everywhere now HERE.
Having first introduced the project over summer 2017 with lead single "Bicycle (ft. Shungudzo),"the duo have now released the Joel Knoernschild-directed official video for the track, a visual filmed in Oakland, California showcasing Shungudzo herself alongside Oakland's own Original Scraper Bike Team. View the video now HERE. "Bicycle" is an overtly fun pop track that describes one's epic love for their two-wheeler. With a driving baseline and irresistible melody, this groove will have you on your feet, or in a bicycle seat, in no time. The duo tapped Zimbabwean/Californian Shungudzo for the vocal feature, who describes the track further: "To many of us, a bicycle is just something we ride for fun or to work. But for many young and underprivileged people around the world, a bicycle represents freedom. While writing the song, I imagined I was a boy from a broken home who finally saved up enough money to buy a bike. I pictured how fast he rode, and how empowered he felt, finally able to explore a city that was once limited to only the people and places he could run to. In my mind, he kept riding, maybe forever, away from a black and white reality, into a colorful world of dreams, where he could be anyone and anything he imagined."
