BBC1 Favorite, Jealous of the Birds Release NY Inspired Video

Jealous of the Birds release a new music video, "New York Has a Lump in Her Throat," from the EP Wisdom Teeth. "Last summer I was lucky enough to explore some infamous NYC hotspots where many of my favorite artists lived, performed and hung out, and we gathered together the footage for the 'New York Has a Lump in Her Throat' music video. Like every big city, New York holds its own unique artistic heritage and it blew my mind to be able to exist even for an afternoon in the same places as those artists. That human chain is ongoing and when I wrote the song, I was conscious of being part of that line of people trying to make good art amid so much chaos."

Wisdom Teeth comes shortly after the 2018 EP The Moths Of What I Want Will Eat Me In My Sleep which became a quick favorite of BBC1 and NPR, and features the singles "Plastic Skeletons" and "Russian Doll". In the new songs, Naomi Hamilton, aka Jealous of the Birds, blends intricate lyricism that ranges from delicate to aggressive. Says Naomi, "The songs on Wisdom Teeth were some of my favorites to write and the whole EP was such a joy to record. My hope is that this growth and sense of discovery becomes tangible for the listener and they feel like they're along for the ride."
