BBC Radio 1 host Danny Howard has unveiled a brand new release from Liverpool-born DJ Kydus on his Nothing Else Matters label.
Set for official release on 25th August, ‘Markeeta’s Way’ follows Kydus’ highly acclaimed two track ‘Free Spirit EP’ which received support from the likes of Carl Cox, Hot Since 82, Nic Fanciulli, and Skream. His recent release, ‘First Contact’ was awarded the honour of Pete Tong’s ‘essential new tune.’Using a rumbling bass line to interject real vigour into the production, ‘Markeeta’s Way’ features a clever synth-based breakdown which gives the track an upbeat feel, yet remains mysteriously brooding in areas. The release marks another big moment in 2017 for Kydus, who has so far played events at Eden Ibiza’s opening party and ‘Do Not Sleep’ at London’s iconic Ministry of Sound club. In October, the British producer will play at Manchester’s Warehouse Project as part of ‘Yousef Presents Circus’ with ‘Markeeta’s Way’ marking a strong debut on Danny Howard’s imprint.
On the road as a touring DJ, Danny Howard has clocked up a succession of career-defining gigs, including appearances at EDC Las Vegas, Global Gathering, Gatecrasher, Ministry of Sound, Creamfields and tours in America taking on clubs like Pacha NYC, Marquee in Las Vegas and Spinnin’ and Perfecto parties in Miami.
Danny Howard also hosts a weekly 'Nothing Else Matters' podcast, with his weekly BBC Radio 1 show now attracting close to 2m listeners every Saturday.
