Award-winning Roots-y/Folk group FlecHaus celebrate the release of their new single and video "Tell Me Something" with a live show at Adelbert's Brewery, 2314 Rutland Dr., Saturday, December 9. Showtime: 6pm to 9pm. Free (must be 21 and over to attend). Info: (512) 662-1462 or visit http://adelbertsbeer.com/. Also on the bill: Sam Howden Research Group; Lewd Dudes. Purchase "Tell Me Something" (available on YouTube December 9) at ITunes or CD Baby.

Tell Me Something "is about observing many of the underlying messages of American society and asking for a change. Much of the input we get from the world around us is negative and dismissive. We're asking for everyone to open up, branch out, and make a positive change for society," explains FlecHaus front-person/vocalist and principal songwriter, Megan Flechaus. The single and accompanying video are also the first FlecHaus composition co-written between Megan Flechaus and bassist, Dominick Chaillot. They wrote the song together when they first began jamming in early 2016. Since the formation of FlecHaus, the band members have taken the arrangement to a whole new level and recorded the piece with the unique beat-boxing flute of Kenzie Slottow, the beautiful harmonies of Sara Louise, and the tactful rhythms of Nathan Smith.

The music video for "Tell Me Something" was filmed at the J. Lorraine Ghost Town in Manor, TX with videographer Jason Shaub. Jason and Megan worked together on directing the video and conveying the message of the song visually. "Tell Me Something" was shot over the course of two days in late July, in one hundred-plus degree heat. "It was hard work to keep going all day in the heat, but the band and crew did their best to make it fun," recalls Megan.

As with FlecHaus' previous singles, "Tell Me Something" was recorded at The Compound in Austin; recorded, produced and mixed by Benjamin Alan Levy; and mastered by Chris Kress. Artwork for "Tell Me Something" is by Alicia Steinkirchner.

FlecHaus are: Megan Flechaus, lead vocals/rhythm guitar; Kenzie Slottow, flute; Dominick Chaillot, bass; Nathan Smith, drums; and Sara Louise, backing vocals. On "Lie To Me," the band is joined by Benjamin Levy on fiddle, who substitutes for flutist Kenzie Slottow.

The band's second single "What We've Got" won two L.A. Music Critic Awards this past Summer: "Best Single-Group" and "Fan Favorite". "An amazing artist primed to burst onto the indie music scene" (INDIE VOICE BLOG). "Megan Flechaus has a clear country voice that rises over a cool shuffle beat" (PROFESSOR JOHNNY P'S BLOGSPOT). "FlecHaus is changing the way music should be heard, from a place of tender honesty" (INDIE PULSE MUSIC).
