Exciting newcomer Jack Grace releases a new burner, "downstate," via Of Leisure off his forthcoming EP, If I Tremble (April 13th). The song, whose melancholy vocals and lyrics are complimented by the upbeat tempo of the synths, is the soundtrack of a nomadic lover reflecting on the past and moving into an unchartered chapter of his life.
Originally from Australia, and now based in Paris, If I Tremble was written between Grace's Sydney home studio, upstate New York and Marseille, France. Inspired by his differing surroundings, Grace wrote and produced songs filled with orchestral synths, resonant percussion, balanced with graceful harmonies uniquely blended with footwork beats and lyrics soaked in imagery that take listeners through a journey of emotion and experiences in the seven song EP. Praised by Pigeons & Planes, CLASH, Triple J, and artists Chet Faker, Flume, Kllo and more, the singer song-writer is a frequent collaborator working as a producer, arranger and music director, for artists like Ngaiire ('Blastoma'), BUOY(Immersion + Break eps') and Christopher Port.Videos
