Elizabeth Rose creates electronic pop songs that are at once bright and moody, layering catchy melodies against shimmering synths and pulsing beats. The rising Australian artist is also a staunch supporter of equality and social justice. Deeply concerned by Australian laws preventing marriage equality, Rose makes her opinion known on her new single "Division".

Co-produced with Dennis Dowlut the single's delicate instrumentals, largely powered through cascading piano allow plenty of room for Rose's stunning vocals to shine through, putting the message of "Division" front and center - where a message of this urgency should be.

As the single explains "It's the Division hurting you and me. It's time to change, is it time to re-arrange? It starts with you."

Culturally, "Division" could not have come at a more appropriate time. Rose wants to help ensure that two people in love have the freedom to be married, in the presence of their friends and family, and have it legally recognized on Australian soil, and in the rest of the world.

Rose explains:
"Ireland recently became the nineteenth country to allow same sex marriage, they join the Netherlands, Argentina, Brazil, Sweden, Norway, France, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Spain and the U.K. We are moving towards this significant moment in Australian history and I urge people to accept and embrace this need for equality in our country and worldwide."
Australia is one of the last developed nations to vote on marriage equality and 72% of the population support it. For the next 14 days "Division" will be available via Rose's website on a pay what you choose basis with proceeds going to Australian Marriage Equality (AME) to fight for the rights of those currently discriminated against.

"Division" is released digitally Wednesday June 3rd.
