FlecHaus release their new single "Outer Loop" on Friday, May 12. The Austin-based quintet are: Megan Flechaus, lead vocals/rhythm guitar; Kenzie Slottow, flute; Dominick Chaillot, bass; Nathan Smith, drums; and Sara Louise, backing vocals. Outer Loop, explains Megan, "is about the captivating skyline of Charlotte, North Carolina, where I lived for three years. I used to take the loop around the city on my way home just to look at it and feel it's vibes. This song is about that experience of inspiration."
Outer Loop was recorded at The Compound, mastered by Chris Kress, and recorded, mixed, and produced by Benjamin Alan Levy, all Austin-based. It's available on CD Baby as is Megan Flechaus' previous album, New.
Watch for upcoming area dates for FlecHaus, including a show at
Dozen Street in Austin on Thursday, June 29. The band will also be doing a video for "Pitter Patter," another new single to be released this Summer.
Megan Flechaus, for whom FlecHaus is named, has been called "Austin's Rising Star" by Indie Pulse Music (complete interview here). Professor johnny P's Blogspot cited Megan's "strong, expressive voice which is a delight to hear" in a stellar review of her aforementioned 2014 album, New.
