ASKING ALEXANDRIA--the riotous, genre-bending U.K.-based rock group that Alternative Press says "blurs the lines between solipsism and sociopathy, hedonism and nihilism, even as it throws metalcore, electronic music and a healthy dose of hair metal into a blender set on 'awesome'"--have announced LIVE FROM BRIXTON AND BEYOND--a 2-Disc live concert DVD--to be released December 15 via Sumerian Records.

"At long last, we are FINALLY releasing our first ever DVD," says guitarist BEN BRUCE. "We have been promising this DVD for a long time now, but trust me when I say it was worth the wait. There is so much unseen footage on this release including our sold-out show at Brixton in London, our reckless Halloween concert in Hollywood, intimate behind the scenes footage, the 'Through Sin and Self Destruction' short film and every music video we have ever recorded. It's been a long time in the making but we hope you enjoy every second of this. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years and welcome to the family."

The LIVE FROM BRIXTON AND BEYOND 2-disc DVD features: 1) the full live set from ASKING ALEXANDRIA's sold-out Brixton 02 Academy show in London, England; 2) behind the scenes and backstage footage from the Brixton 02 Academy show; 3) the unseen "Reckless Halloween" performance at The Wiltern in Los Angeles; and 4) all of the group's music videos and the "Through Sin and Self-Destruction" short film (see full tracklisting below). ASKING ALEXANDRIA has released three albums, including their current album FROM DEATH TO DESTINY and has toured the world-over. Produced by Joey Sturgis and mixed by veteran rock radio kingmaker David Bendeth (Breaking Benjamin, Paramore, Of Mice & Men), FROM DEATH TO DESTINY fully embraces the high-flying sonic excess of Mötley Crüe, the dark electro of the pre-EDM era and the audio growl of the harder-edged bands they discovered as teenagers. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart and #1 on the Independent Albums Chart in the U.S. and has launched three consecutive Top 20 Active Rock singles to date: "The Death of Me," "Break Down the Walls" and current single "Moving On." Just this week, "Moving On" hit the Top 15 making it the band's highest charting single to date. The "Moving On" video has received over 2 million views and can be viewed (HERE).

Now in the midst of a headlining tour spanning Europe, the U.K. and Russia, the U.K.-based rock band will circle back to North America for a tour starting Nov. 28 in Tucson, AZ and wrapping Dec. 20 in Wilmington, NC (dates below).

ASKING ALEXANDRIA--DANNY WORSNOP (lead vocals), BEN BRUCE (lead guitars), CAMERON LIDDELL (guitars), SAM BETTLEY (bass) and JAMES CASSELLS (drums)--represent everything exciting and altogether invigorating about the hardest hitting rock n' roll, both past and present. The group incorporates the modern hard rock sensibilities with the celebratory melodic spirit of the giant hooks of the '80s, the expert songwriting of the '90s and the unashamedly aggressive brutality of modern Millennium bravado. The electro-tinged and always unhinged miscreants have arrived armed with musical weapons owing as much to Skid Row and Guns N' Roses as Korn and Killswitch Engage. After spending all summer on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival with Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Body Count (featuring Ice-T), Cannibal Corpse, Trivium, Miss May I, Mushroomhead, Suicide Silence and many more), the stage has been set both literally and figuratively for an even larger commercial breakthrough.
