Americana's Cerebral Wildman, Ashley Raines, releases his 13th studio album on Thanksgiving. Raines is a lyricist and multi-instrumentalist that performs on his signature Weissenborn. His sound is heavy, dark Americana roots with traditional country songwriting and a delta blues sensibility. After The Bruising will be available on iTunes and other download sites November 27, 2014.

After The Bruising was recorded live in the studio in Los Angeles in just two days. This is Raines' 4th album recorded live in studio, a method Raines prefers, "you get some really great musicians, set up in the room and hit record."

Raines is known for his introspective songs about life and the devil, accused of summoning the dark voices deep inside us all with his honest, rugged voice that fills the room, even when he's at a whisper. This is highlighted on the track "Thinkin' Bout Murder," the sound of a man who wears death's garb and contemplates the demise of those he felt wronged him. "Work Like The Devil" examines the harsh reality of giving everything you got and still having nothing and Raines' softer side reveals itself on "Daddy Knows Best," a modern day lullaby.

Eschewing the traditional music industry standards, Raines remains virtually unknown despite his successes as a full-time touring musician for nearly two decades. Forgoing the comforts of music labels and marketing teams, Raines has managed every aspect of his career, from bookings to publicity and self-releasing all his albums.

Raines is on a solo tour now in the Pacific NW with dates in Seattle (11/6), Portland (11/11) and will continue down the coast to Los Angles (11/28) and over to Savannah, GA (12/20), ending his 2014 tour in Knoxville, TN (12/23). Raines will continue to tour throughout 2015.
