Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Ashley Monroe is set to make the national TV debut of "Hands On You," from her brand new album Sparrow, on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers May 14. Sparrow, called "her most ambitious, startling and first-to-last engrossing album yet" by the Wall Street Journal, was produced by Dave Cobb and recorded in Nashville's historic RCA Studio A. Arriving #1 on iTunes Singer / Songwriter charts, NPR Music notes that on Sparrow "Monroe sounds more sensitive, sensual and comfortable in her skin than she ever has" with Paste proclaiming it to be "...one of the strongest and most grown up country albums to be released this decade."
"Hands On You" was released to early critical acclaim by American Songwriter, Rolling Stone, Wide Open Country, and UPROXX, who called the song a "barn-burning, lusty remembrance of a night that didn't quite end in consummation of desire, and the waves of regret that can accompany not acting on impulse.
"I knew I wanted to work with Dave," Monroe says. "All of his records are consistently awesome and classic, timeless, old and new all in one." Together, they shared their favorite records and music moments, like early Elton John LPs and Glenn Campbell's "Wichita Lineman," molding Sparrow into its own unique sonic space.
