New Columbia Records signing Asherel have announced that they will be joining White Denim and Maps and Atlases on the Bonnaroo365 Tour Presented by Samsonite. The week-long tour will kick off November 3 in Asheville, NC and hit several southern cities before wrapping up in Austin, TX on November 10. A full list of dates is below, tickets are available now. Ahead of the tour, Asherel will release a self-titled EP on Columbia Records on October 30.
The Atlanta-based trio consists of songwriter and frontman Trey Rosenkampff, Graham Elder on guitar, and Christian Ebetino on drums. The group has created quite a stir in the short time they've been together by playing charismatic rock and roll in the vein of Manchester Orchestra and Kings of Leon, held together by Rosenkampff's solid, captivating songwriting. After meeting local producer Dan Hannon (Manchester Orchestra), the band recorded an EP with Hannon called It Won't Be Quiet Anymore. After self-releasing the EP, the group built a basement studio and continued to hone their sound. Trey taught himself Pro Tools basics and discovered how to capture the raw sounds in a way that belies their DIY recording setup. The trio then travelled to Seattle to record with Adam Kasper (Pearl Jam, Nirvana), while soaking up all of the musical influences of the city. The result is an impressive self-titled EP that will be released on October 30, a preview of the forthcoming full length the band is currently working on.
