Signed to Disturbed's Reprise Records imprint Intoxication Records, Vancouver's Art of Dying release their major-label debut album, Vices and Virtues today. The lead single off the album, "Die Trying," is currently the iTunes "Single Of The Week" and available on the iTunes homepage as a free download and is available at http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/die-trying-single/id425286837. The standard version of Vices and Virtues is specially priced for iTunes at the discovery price of $7.99 for the next two weeks.  Vices and Virtues is also available at physical retailers including FYE.

AOL's Noisecreep has the world premiere of the "Die Trying" video, which just went live today. Additionally, the band debuted a new song, "Completely," with ArtistDirect last week. Listen to it at: http://www.artistdirect.com/entertainment-news/article/art-of-dying-premiere-completely-song-on-artistdirect-com/8726617.

"Die Trying" is blazing at Active Rock Radio, led by support from WRIF/Detroit, 89X/Detroit, KISW/Seattle, KQRC/Kansas City, KXXR/Minneapolis, KUPD/Phoenix, WBUZ/Nashville, WCCC/Hartford, WIIL/Chicago and KHTB/Salt Lake City.

Art of Dying, which is vocalist/lyricist Jonny Hetherington, guitarist Greg Bradley, guitarist Tavis Stanley, bassist Cale Gontier, and drummer JefF Brown, hit the road this month for the first annual Avalanche Tour with Stone Sour, Theory Of A Deadman, Skillet, and Halestorm. The tour kicks off Friday, March 25th in Milwaukee. Please visit www.AvalancheTour.com for details.

The band has launched a contest enabling fans to win free tickets to see them on the Avalanche Tour by entering a name, email, and nearest tour stop city at http://artofdying.warnerreprise.com/artofdying. Winners (who are selected at random) will receive two free tickets to a show.

Produced by Howard Benson (Papa Roach, Three Doors Down), Vices and Virtues expresses Art of Dying's energy and vitality with a blend of urgent, blaring guitar rhythms, atmospheric and transcendent counter melodies, and vocal harmonies that complement the heaviness of the music. Uptempo songs like "Die Trying" and "Straight Across my Mind" reverberate with the triumphant spirit of a raised fist, while tracks such as the acoustic-based "I Will Be There," "Best I Can," and "Raining" (which features guest vocals by Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier) are more reflective and vulnerable, revealing the pain of imperfect relationships and the redemption that lies within their repair.
