Art Feynman, the enigmatic pop project of Luke Temple, won acclaim for his 2017 genre-defying debut album Blast Off Through the Wicker. Today, Art Feynman returns with a new track, "Ideal Drama." "It's basically about human extinction and that maybe we have some sort of planned obsolescence as well as a contradictory desire to survive," says Temple. "In many ways the devises that allow us to prosper are also our potential downfall." "Ideal Drama" premiered today on The 405, who write, "Squishy synths meet machine-like whirrs, and yet all the imagery of steel does no damage to the inherent life of the track. If I didn't know any better, I would assume that it had two fully functioning lungs, sighing deeply to signal its own existential struggles."
Art Feynman kicks off a European/UK tour this Sunday in Copenhagen. Watch this space for more information on his new full-length, coming in 2019.

Luke Temple invented Here We Go Magic when he started working with Western Vinyl in 2009, and now he's returned to the label and he's reinventing himself again with Art Feynman. Luke relocated to the serene coastal town of Point Reyes, California (near San Francisco) to create his new experimental psych-pop-highlife-dub project. Combing everything from krautrock to afrobeat to psych-rock to spirited electronics, his debut album Blast Off Through the Wicker is impossible to pinpoint.
