Ariana Grande has been booked to headline Lollapalooza, according to Variety. The festival set to take place in Chicago's Grant Park August 1-4.
The lineup for Lollapalooza isn't announced until the third week of March, so any official confirmation of Grande's headlining appearance won't come for a few months.
Grande has already been officially announced to headline Coachella in April.
Sources tell Variety that her booking at Lollapalooza has been in the works for several months and that discussions about it took place much earlier than they did for Coachella. Published reports showed that her team didn't receive the official invite to headline the California festival until days before the lineup announcement. Grande was a replacement Kanye West, whose staging demands grew too great.
Grande has had to reschedule some dates on her "Sweetener" arena tour as a result of the sudden Coachella booking.
Shows that were previously scheduled to take place in eight cities in April have now been rescheduled for June and July, while two other cities have been canceled outright. Omaha and Raleigh were the two cities whose concerts were postponed indefinitely. The rescheduled dates include Chicago (now June 4-5), Indianapolis (June 29), Columbus (July 1), Milwaukee (July 5), St. Louis (July 6), St. Paul (July 8), Denver (July 11) and Salt Lake City (July 13).
