Anna Kendrick Reveals 'The Music Industry Seems Scary to Me'

In an all-new interview with Billboard.com, Anna Kendrick talks about the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of INTO THE WOODS, recording an album and her upcoming projects.

The talented actress has three upcoming musicals heading to the big screenn including the Sondheim classic, in which she portrays 'Cinderella', the movie version of off Broadway's 'The Last 5 Years' and a sequel to the hit film 'Pitch Perfect'.

"I was so excited when it started to feel like people are going to make movie musicals again," gushed Kendrick. "So I mean it wasn't my master plan, but I'm really happy that that is a trend that is happening and I hope it stays."

Asked about the possibility of recording an album of her own, following the mega-successs of her hit single 'Cups' from the film "Pitch Perfect," the actress gives an emphatic, "Hell no." She explains, "The music industry seems scary to me. I mean the film industry is crazy enough so the music industry to me seems like the wild, wild West. Like I would just never dare."

Kendrick will soon be seen in the movie versions of Sondheim's Into the Woods and The Last Five Years. She can also be seen in Happy Christmas, Pitch Perfect, What to Expect When You're Expecting, The Twilight Saga, and more. She also appeared on stage in the Off-Broadway production of A Little Night Music (2003) and Broadway's High Society (1998).
