From the blossoming Colorado music scene comes Analog Son. The brainchild of Jordan Linit (Kinetix/Ableminds) and Josh Fairman (Kinetix), the project incorporates a rotating cast of players including members of the Shady Horns, the Motet, Lettuce, New Mastersounds and Ivan Neville of Dumstaphunk. A funk band loaded to the brim with heavy-hitters, Analog Son will release their 2nd collaborative album on March 7th, at the Bluebird Theater in Denver.

Musicians and musical partners since the age of 13, Linit and Fairman have collaborated in a number musical projects all the while developing new and strong relations with like-minded performers.

While Fairman has taken his hand in performing nationally alongside Linit with the band Kinetix, his work also led him to a fascination with recording and engineering. In 2012 Fairman started Scanhope Sound Recording Studio on the steps of Red Rocks Amphitheatre with business partner, Joel Scanlon. A growing necessity in the music business in a time where musicians spend more time on the road then in one particular studio to record; it seemed like an ideal place to provide top-notch engineering to the growing Colorado music scene. However, what transpired over the next few months was beyond anyone's wildest imaginations.

Over the course of the next several months as the studio booked for the season, Linit and Fairman had the opportunity to capture a number rare out-takes and jams with a hand full of renowned musicians while recording in the studio. As musical relations from the sessions grew with the various artists, so too did the creativity--- and eventually the idea for Analog Son was born.

Leading the charge with the primary song writing, Linit and Fairman began honing in on a unique musical experience where each performance and subsequent album will feature a new lineup and fresh improvisational approach.

A follow up to their wildly successful 2014 self-titled release, their sophomore effort, Stomp and Shout will be released this March and will feature clean horn lines of Ryan Zoidis and Eric Bloom from the Shady Horns, along with various musicians ranging from members of the Motet to Nigel Hall of Lettuce, Joe Tatton of the New Mastersounds, Benzel Baltimore of P-Funk fame, Terrence Houston and Ivan Neville of the Funky Meters as well as some of Denver's finest local talent.

Daring the listener not to dance, Stomp and Shout is comprised of deep funk laden bass-lines, roaring keys, and powerful horns. Together, the latest release masterfully highlights a staggering lineup of featured performers, allowing impressive moves like bringing four keyboardists onto the title track. With enough initial content for three full-length albums, there is no sign of stopping ahead.

"The coolest thing has been the momentum. What we recorded for fun turned out so good, we knew we had to keep going with it," Jordan Linit said.

Analog Son is a collaborative effort that brings the best in the business together on a single stage for unforgettable performances and landmark jams and is not simply a bi-product of the vibrant Colorado music scene.

What can only be described as a super group of extraordinary proportions, Analog Son will be performing together at the Bluebird Theater this March 7th and will feature Nigel Hall (Lettuce, Soulive, Nth Power) and Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident, EOTO) along with a number of featured performers known both locally and nationally.
