Following the release of their latest single "Superior Emotion" ft. Cautious Clay and ahead of their forthcoming 'Champagne Eyes' EP, which drops on October 5, British duo AlunaGeorge have revealed their official music video today. Directed by Courtney Brookes, the tongue-in-cheek video features the enigmatic "love-struck" front woman and chief lyricist Aluna Francis alongside the "aloof" Brooklyn Cold War soul-singer Cautious Clay.
Talking to The FADER about the new video, Aluna divulged, "I really wanted to work with a female director who understood how to mix satire and beauty to really tell the story of this song. In the same way, having really got to know Cautious I felt like he would perfectly capture the object of my unrequited affection with his incredible voice and nuanced lyrics."

"The writing process was super organic," explains Cautious Clay whorecorded the track with the duo in New York City earlier this year. "Aluna already had her parts worked out so I wanted to write something that felt like it matched well emotionally." "Superior Emotion" is the first track taken from AlunaGeorge's forthcoming EP titled 'Champagne Eyes,' and signifies a shift in their sound as they take on a soulful blend of classic R&B paired with Aluna's distinctive vocals and infectious pop melodies that so perfectly compliment her carefully crafted storytelling skills in lyricism. 'Champagne Eyes' drops worldwide on October 5.
"Superior Emotion" Ft. Cautious Clay is available worldwide now.
