"Sleepwalking, Pt. II." is from Alvarez Kings' full-length debut, Somewhere Between (Sire/Warner Bros. Records), scheduled for release on April 14. The quartet - composed of brothers Simon and Paul Thompson, Richard Walker and Sean Parkin - recorded the album in Burbank, CA with GRAMMY® Award-winning, multi-Platinum producer/engineer/mixer Carlos De La Garza (Paramore, M83, Jimmy Eat World), who just picked up two GRAMMYs for his work on Ziggy Marley's new album. "Sleepwalking, Pt. II" and "Cold Conscience," another track from Somewhere Between, are currently available for download on all DSPs.
U.S. audiences were introduced to Alvarez Kings on the Vans Warped tour - their adventures were chronicled in Season 2 of Fuse's "Warped Roadies" television series - and with the 2015 release of the band's EP, Fear To Feel. The EP's title track quickly gained steam online, appearing on such coveted Spotify playlists such as The Indie Mix and Ultimate Indie Playlist.
"Fear To Feel" garnered an impressive 40K streams in less than 12 hours and eventually racked up more than 700K. Feature articles followed in Billboard, Diffuser, Fuse, Huffington Post and more. Alvarez Kings have toured with PVRIS, Echosmith and recently supported Melanie Martinez on a massive sold-out European run.
