"I feel like there's a tendency in our generation to linger in negativity, but that's not our story as a band or as people. There are moments in all our lives where you need to stay down, but there's always that time where you need to get up and move forward. It's the turning point: All this stuff happened, yeah, that was the reality but let's get up, let's do something about it, let's get better."- Vocalist Judah Akers on '7000x' The three-piece (Judah Akers, Nate Zuercher, Brian Macdonald) will hit the road on a massive global tour this summer in support of the new album, which kicks off in the UK at Glasgow's King Tut's on July 16th. They will then visit Dublin and London before heading off across Europe for five shows before a 44-date voyage throughout North America with some summer festivals dotted in between. The sonically exciting 17-track fusion of alternative indie-folk, hip hop, pop and electronic influences also features a song with former touring mate, US rapper Jon Bellion and features Darren King (ex-Mutemath) on drums.
The band also recently released a special live Bluegrass version of the track 'Over My Head' with Bluegrass legends Jerry Douglas, Dan Tyminski and Missy Raines. You can watch that hereFor tickets and the most up to date information, please visit www.judahandthelion.com.
