Alphabeat Make Smashing Return At SXSW, First US Single SHADOWS Out Now  Image

Last week, beloved Danish indie pop band Alphabeat made a special SXSWappearance at the Neon Gold Records Official Showcase, marking their first U.S performance after a six-year hiatus. Listed as an Austin American-Statesman "SXSW Music critics' pick", the group's illuminating SXSW performance was hailed by Austin360 as a dance party not to be missed,"Alphabeat got arms up and hearts split open." The shimmering video for"Shadows" also premiered with accolades from Billboard, Popdose,PopJustice and Perez Hilton.

The group recently debuted infectious new single "Shadows" via Billboard Magazine, a taste of their new album due for release this Autumn. With Danish sound wizard Emil Falk at the production helm, the single marks the group's first formal US music release and Alphabeat's debut release on new label Atlantic Records.

After bursting onto the scene in 2006 with their debut single "Fascination," Alphabeat went on to earn critical acclaim everywhere from The New York Times and The Guardian to pop blog adoration amongst PopJustice, Idolatorand many more. They scored a huge amount of success including five top 30 singles and a gold-certified debut in the UK as well as multiple Top 10 singles across Europe. They have sold more than 1 million albums and singles. Their best performing track to date was the huge "Fascination," which reached #6 on the Official UK Singles Chart and has earned over 40 million streams worldwide (see video here).
