The Ware Center at Millersville University will host the talented Allegro ensemble with their second Music in the Round event - "Jazzical" on Friday, July 19, 2013.
The evening is a novel way to enjoy classical music. The audience enjoys a 45-minute pre-show social networking reception, followed by the performance under the stars in the Ware Center's Atrium. Look up and watch the sunset at 8:30, followed by an approaching full moon.
The concert also provides something other than the traditional seating set-up -- the audience will be seated on all four sides around the musicians which allows a more intimate feeling and permits the listener to capture every angle and get up-close and personal with the conductor and the musicians during the hour long performance.
This performance by Allegro - under the guidance of Brian Norcross, conductor -- will include Française's Sept Danses,Stravinsky's Octet, Torke's Adjustable Wrench and a rendition of Joplin's The Entertainer to round out the evening. Concert-goers are lifted to another time and place, in an amazing outdoor feeling indoors for a one of a kind performance that's sure to leave a lasting impression.
