Moments ago, Alex Ebert, singer, songwriter, composer and front man of Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, premiered his new single "Broken Record" on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show. Ebert was born in Los
Angeles in 1978 and currently resides in New Orleans, LA. In 2011, he released his first solo album as Alexander. In 2014, Alex Ebert won the Golden Globe for Best Original Score to J.C. Chandor's film All Is Lost starring Robert Redford. He followed that up by scoring Chandor's next film A Most Violent Year. Additionally, he scored the Oscar winning Disney animated short Feast. Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros released their fourth studio album in April 2016, followed by an international tour including stops at Coachella and Newport Folk Fest.
