Atlantic recording artist Alec Benjamin has unveiled a stunning new acoustic version of his breakthrough hit single, "Let Me Down Slowly" featuring GRAMMY® Award-winning recording artist Alessia Cara. The stripped performance visual, which premiered earlier today on People, beautifully captures the raw emotion in each artist's voice - watchHERE. "Let Me Down Slowly" Feat. Alessia Cara is now available at all DSPs and streaming services HERE.

Earlier this month, the pair came together to debut the official music video for "Let Me Down Slowly" which premiered on Complex, stars both artists and is available to stream at Benjamin's official YouTube channel HERE. Complex quickly complimented the gorgeous visual, which surpassed 1 million views in less than a week, for its ability to "perfectly convey the song's message of vulnerability." In a recent V MAN profile, the publication praised the "sonic storyteller" writing, "his effortless articulation of his personal experiences and the dexterity with which he weaves those anecdotes into universal narratives makes him a standout star."

The rising singer-songwriter - who is currently being streamed over 18 million times globally per week - kicked off 2019 with his US television debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden, performing "Let Me Down Slowly." The video of his performance has gone on to amass over half a million views on The Late Late Show's official YouTube channel. That same day began with the release of the striking updated version of "Let Me Down Slowly" featuring Alessia Cara. Upon release, the duet quickly received rave reviews with ROLLING STONE hailing, "Benjamin and Cara's voices meld together on the hypnotic pop tune as they reflect on vulnerability and the fear of losing a good relationship. Cara's contribution is a bit of soulful accentuation to the cooler tones of Benjamin's voice as she tackles the second verse and chorus." Benjamin recently entered the Billboard Hot 100 with "Let Me Down Slowly (Feat. Alessia Cara)" and graced the cover of Spotify's esteemed Pop Rising playlist. Alec's Spotify Singles are also now available and feature stripped renditions of "Let Me Down Slowly" as well as his fan-favorite, emotionally gripping cover of Eminem's "Stan" - listen HERE.

Having just wrapped his sold-out European headline tour, Benjamin will return to the US in March and embark on his second North American headline tour. The "Outrunning Karma Tour," which sold-out three months leading to the announcement of upgraded venues and second shows in various markets, gets underway March 29th in San Francisco, CA. Traveling through early May, the tour culminates with two back-to-back nights at Los Angeles, CA's historic El Rey Theatre on May 9th and 10th. The sonic storyteller's largest cross-country trek to date also includes a show at New York's famed Irving Plaza on April 11th. Shortly after, he'll take his live performance to Bottle Rock Festival in Napa Valley in late May. For complete details and routing please visit https://alecbenjamin.com/tour.

NARRATED FOR YOU, Benjamin's extraordinary debut mixtape, has racked up over 242 million global streams and has received praise from fans and critics alike, with both The New York Times and TIME applauding fan favorite "The Water Fountain" on release day. Alec's compelling companion visuals for mixtape tracks "Let Me Down Slowly," "If We Have Each Other," and "Boy In The Bubble" have amassed over 36 million collective views on YouTube. In addition to love from fans and critics, Benjamin has begun to garner support from other musicians, including Billie Eilish, Bryson Tiller and one of his biggest inspirations, John Mayer. After declaring Alec a "young Jedi" for his songwriting craft, Mayer invited him onto his Instagram Live TV show "Current Mood," where the two performed Alec's songs, "Death Of A Hero" and "Annabelle's Homework" live on Mayer's Instagram to his over 3.7 million followers.
