Orange County-based teen pop singer ALANA LEE(www.alanaleemusic.net) has earned a Hollywood Music In Media Award(HMMA) nomination for the song "Dream Out Loud" for Best Pop Song. Alana previously earned HMMA nominations in 2011 for her viral hit songs "Butterflies" and "Synchronize."
The HMMAs honor music from visual mediums, individuals who create and produce it, and both mainstream and independent musicians from around the globe. Alana and other nominees will be honored at the ceremonies that will take place at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood tonight, November 21, 2013.
The viral sensation Alana created on YouTube in 2011 is likely to explode again with the release of the music video for "Dream Out Loud" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWot2EJ_ezE). The emotional video has already racked up more than 11,000 views just days after its debut.
The 16-year-old indie pop songstress has been on a whirlwind since digitally releasing her two new singles, "Dream Out Loud" and "Perfect Storm" worldwide last week. Both songs are part of her dynamic musical relationship with international recording star Thomas Barsoe, founder of The OC Hit Factory-a music academy, record label and critically-acclaimed songwriting camp.
"Dream Out Loud" (written by Barsoe, Lars Halvor Jensen and Pam Sheyne) and "Perfect Storm" (penned by Barsoe, Jensen, Dixie Maxwell and Catrien Maxwell) will also be on Alana's forthcoming five-track EP released by Alana's own Alana Lee Productions, featuring several songs co-written by Alana and Barsoe.
On August 17 @ 10 a.m. PT, Alana can be heard on an upcoming radio show, "Beyond The Spotlight," hosted by Sam Lant (Warner Brothers - Project X) andLauren Dair Owens (New Girl). "Dream Out Loud" is also making a big splash in Australia and has been selected for the "Stars Of Tomorrow Top 5" for July on radio stations 2RDJ and Triple H FM. Fans can vote for the song from 12pm AEST on August 18 until 5pm AEST on August 23 at www.facebook.com/SOTRadio.Alana will also showcase her philanthropic side at the House of Blues on theSunset Strip in West Hollywood on September 1 when she takes the stage at 7 p.m. to show support for Tunes for Tots -an organization benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help fight life-threatening medical conditions plaguing children.
