London artist Afro B, a key figure of the Afrobeat sound that continues to surge in global popularity, has unveiled the remix package for his viral sensation 'Drogba', featuring basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal, Swedish artist Kaliffa and a 'New Africa Remix' with Afrobeat artists Mayorkun, Kuami Eugene, Kidi & Frenna.
A sweeping track tinged with influences from all corners of the Afrobeats genre; dancehall, reggae, R&B, and hip hop, 'Drogba' is produced by UK trio Team Salut, and topped by Afro B's smooth, signature delivery. Featuring on the soon to be released Afrowave 2 mixtape, 'Drogba' will follow Afro B's highly acclaimed prequel mixtape, his 21-track 'MOVES' documentation, a profile of the Afrobeats genre, released in May 2017. Starting his musical journey with a residency at a Jamaican club called NW10, the Londoner has since moved into producing, highlighting his talents as one of the industry's most exciting curators around. Afro B has enjoyed a meteoric rise, channeling Ghanaian, Congolese, and French - on account of his Ivorian heritage - as influences. The South Londoner, who was recently announced as one of Capital Xtra's new presenters, is heavily supported by the likes of Westwood, MistaJam, and Toddla T, and has become one of the scene's most respected talents.Videos
