French-Caribbean artist Adeline -- one of the most vibrant voices in NYC's indie-soul scene -- will release her highly anticipated self-titled debut solo album [ad•uh•leen] this Friday, November 9. Garnering praise fromVOGUE, FADER, Refinery29, She Shreds, Rolling Stone and many more, she recently performed on Good Day New York & VICELAND "PERFORMANCES".TIDAL spoke with Adeline about the project and debuted new album single "Hi Life" which is available today.
With musical influences essential to any history lesson in funk, R&B and disco, her upcoming solo debut collection - which she co-produced with Morgan Wiley (Hercules & Love Affair, Midnight Magic), wrote & played bass on - gives nods to Chaka Khan, Prince, Curtis Mayfield & Sylvester while still remaining contemporary.
Adeline is the tour-de-force widely known as the indomitable voice and face of the lauded Nu-Disco band Escort. Adeline has previously taken center stage at major festivals including Coachella, Montreal Jazz Fest, Full Moon Festivaland most recently Afropunk 2018.
