Adele is Pregnant! Expecting First Child with Boyfriend Simon Konecki

Rising music icon Adele has announced via her official website that she's expecting her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki.

"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," the internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter wrote on her website earlier today. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time."

The multiple Grammy winner began dating Konecki last summer, officially addressing their relationship in January 2012. Since then, engagement rumors have consistenly arisen, though always denied by the singer and Konecki.

The success of Adele's albums has earned her numerous records in the Guinness Book of World Records. She became the first artist in history to lead the Billboard 200 concurrently with three Billboard Hot 100 number ones. Adele is also the first female artist to have three singles in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, and the first female artist to have two albums, "19" and "21" in the top five of the Billboard 200 and two singles in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously.
