In the weeks leading up to the release of his debut album Shattered Ice, ADAM TYLER proudly announces his headlining role on Electroqueer's North American tour. Billed as a showcase of the "very best in pop and electronic music from emerging and on-the-cusp artists," the EQ Music Tour will pepper the country covering major markets from New York City to Charlotte, to Houston to San Francisco. Having toured extensively on both national and international scales, Adam is certainly no stranger to the stages of many major metropolitan areas. One such appearance in particular will be on August 6, 2011 on a trip to Sweden for Stockholm PRIDE where Adam will join in the event parade and take the main stage at King's Garden later that night.
Kicking off in New York City on August 23rd to coincide with the album's launch, the EQ Music Tour will keep Adam on the road performing for fans city to city until wrapping on September 10th. On his eagerness to launch a tour such as this, site founder Raj Rudolph decrees the routing's mission statement:
"EQ is delighted to present our first ever EQ Music Tour in North America this summer as we continue to pioneer the movement from blog page to stage in showcasing pop's hottest new up-and-coming talent. We couldn't be more excited to have Adam Tyler kick off our inaugural music tour as his music resonates deeply within our pop-loving community and as an artist, Adam pushes the envelope forward within the pop and electronic genre. Not only will blog readers and pop music fans get to enjoy seeing Adam Tyler perform for the first time in some of the hottest clubs in North America on the EQ Music Tour, but they will also have access to original behind-the-scenes footage as we follow Adam and the tour every step of the way through EQmusicblog.com, Twitter and Facebook. Amidst the excitement of meeting with fans on the road, the release of Shattered Ice holds significant gravity, marking both the completion of his first full-length album, as well as the culmination of tireless work and momentous passion. From the opening beats of "Like A Drug" all the way through the Dub-Step influenced breakdown of "Emergency," Adam Tyler's inviting album is steeped in catchy, familiar electro-pop choruses, beats, and breakdowns.
A self-professed "pop geek," Tyler makes no secret of the influence of contemporary pop icons on Shattered Ice. However, in his songwriting he strives to prove that, in his words, "pop music has depth." In this department, he undeniably delivers. Beyond the catchy melodies of his heavy electro-pop production are Tyler's lyrics, which reel listeners in, hypnotized by an exposure to his own genuine emotional struggles.
Up next for the artist, Adam will head straight to Osaka, Japan on September 17, 2011 to partake in the Kansai Music Conference as a headlining act in KMC's Outdoor Showcase at Ecoll Izumi.
