Adam Lambert Drops Achingly Honest 'Feel Something' Image

Calling all 'Glamberts' (the name given to Adam Lambert's passionate fanbase). How many of you are relieved that Adam Lambert is officially back?

Lambert has been busy on the road with Queen but that didn't stop him from working on his own music.

"Feel Something" comes from his upcoming yet-to-be-titled fourth album. In an Instagram post, he says that this is just a preview of what to expect before dropping the first official single. Consider it a thank you for waiting this long.

The track written by Lambert, Josh Cumbee, and Benedict Cork depicts Lambert's low period dealing with depression and anxiety. This feeling is something many can relate to which makes the single even more special.

The track is slightly different from his past releases which are usually more 'out-there' in terms of sound. The production is toned down and features Lambert's vocals behind a simple guitar and piano.

"I waited so long to feel like I'm worthy/ Find someone who could rewrite the pages I'm turning/ I've grown with the pain, bathed in the lonely/ All I want is in this moment is someone to hold me." Tears the heartstrings right?

The singer also revealed in his Instagram post that his artistic vision has been compromised several times with executives making decisions based on money. His mental health was suffering and he started questioning if being in the music industry was even worth it? With this in mind, he found a new management team and record label that supports his music completely.

It baffles me that record labels think they can control these artistic visions. To the artists, this is their life, their passion. To the labels/executives, it's all a money game. Musicians should be allowed to release the music they're most proud of. I applaud Lambert for coming forward and doing what's right for him.

A fresh start is exactly what he needed. Welcome back Adam, we're happy to have you back!

Lambert is set to perform with Queen at the Oscar's airing this Sunday, February 24 on ABC at 8PM EST. They'll be making a big bang as they're opening the telecast. He's also set to tour with the band this summer and tour dates can be found on queenonline.com.
