Adam Davenport Signs New Single WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU to Break It Down Music Image

Making his second release of 2019, Adam Davenport (Naked Boys Singing Off-Broadway, Aida - The Metropolitan Opera, High Maintenance on HBO) unleashed his new single this Friday. Out on Break It Down Music in Europe, "What's The Matter With You. has already been acclaimed by some of the biggest names in dance music. StoneBridge is supporting the release on his Sirius XM BPM show and Don Diablo featured it as his DemoDay Track of the Week on his Hexagon Radio Show episode 211, which airs in over 35 countries and regularly holds a top 10 position in the iTunes music podcast section.

"An American DJ, producer, singer, filmmaker: he's an all-around guy," Diablo said about Davenport. "I really like this track... it sounds fresh. I like all of the auto-tune and vocoder bits. The production is very top-notch." Poised to be a festival banger, the track features future house synths with Davenport's own manipulated vocals that jump into a blazing Brazilian bass drop.

A multi-hyphenate artist based in New York gaining notice for breaking barriers, Davenport made his debut into electronic dance music with "My Return Address Is You," which charted on Billboard's Dance Club chart for ten weeks in 2017, making him the first African-American producer to chart on Billboard for EDM. In late 2018, Davenport released a "very unique and ingenious interpretation of Eric Clapton's iconic 'Change The World' which transforms the unforgettable 1996 ballad into a vibey dance track" that Shazam included on their Best New Music list alongside releases from Marshmello, R3HAB and ZAYN.

"I think every young EDM producer's dream is for their music to be supported b DJ's like Don Diablo and StoneBridge who are legends at the top of their game," says Davenport. "So to have this kind of support on this record and for it to be released on a label in Europe is a milestone for me and I couldn't be any more grateful."

Based in Doorn, Netherlands, Break It Down Music's catalogue has amassed over 15 million streams over the last year with releases from the likes of Steff da Campo ft. Snoop Dogg, Dytone and Lost Capital.
