Austin-based musician Abram Shook has released a new single, "Can't Get Away", today via Western Vinyl, hinting at a new album, the follow up to 2017's Love At Low Speed, for later this year.
Discussing the track, Shook said, "I'm not sure when it all started for me, but definitely long before Trump or the current IPCC report I've been dealing with an enormous amount of pessimism and dread about the fate of humanity. I try to keep most those thoughts to myself except for around a handful of very trusted friends, so most of it finds its way into my music as a release. 'Can't Get Away' is about the mounting pressure of feeling that there's somethingREALLY bad coming our way, but that there's no where to run to avoid it. I put some lines in about Trump, global warming, the coal industry, smoking weed to deal with anxiety, and quite literally running away from it all."Photo Credit: Christina Fallara
