AXS TV has acquired the exclusive television rights to Magnolia Pictures' critically acclaimed music documentary THE WRECKING CREW. The film will premiere tonight, July 18, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PTlong before it is available on any other linear or streaming servicesand will re-air at multiple times until Sunday, July 26. THE WRECKING CREW was originally released in theaters across the country on March 13, 2015.

THE WRECKING CREW is the incredible true story of a group of Los Angeles-based studio musicians made up of drummers Hal Blaine and Earl Palmer, guitarists Tommy Tedesco and Al Casey, bassists Carol Kaye and Joe Osborn, and keyboardist Don Randi, the UNSUNG heroes who served as the studio backing band on some of the biggest hits in rock n' roll history. Simultaneously humorous and heartfelt, the documentary gives an in-depth look at the contributions of this talented band known as the Wrecking Crew, from instantly recognizable advertising jingles and television theme songs, to hit singles such as "Ain't No Woman (Like The One I Got)," "Good Vibrations," "California Girls," "Viva Las Vegas," "Be My Baby," "Mr. Tambourine Man," and "California Dreamin'," as well as their time as the Phil Spector WALL OF SOUND Orchestra.

THE WRECKING CREW is directed by veteran television producer Denny Tedesco, son of Wrecking Crew guitarist Tommy Tedesco, who first conceived the concept in 1995, as a means of dealing with his father's terminal cancer diagnosis. Gaining support from family and friends, the project quickly took on a life of its own, as Tedesco transformed a 14-minute clip into a full-length feature honoring the tremendous impact that his father and the Wrecking Crew had on the music industry. In addition to the band's members, the film also features interviews and session footage with music LEGENDS Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat "King" Cole, Herb Alpert, former Wrecking Crew member Glen Campbell, Cher, Beach Boys founders Al Jardine and Brian Wilson, Nancy Sinatra, Frank Zappa, and Simon & Garfunkel, among others.

"AXS TV is proud to bring this important documentary to television for the first time ever," said Jeff Cuban, AXS TV's general manager and executive vice president. "THE WRECKING CREW celebrates a legendary era in music and the unheralded band that helped set the tone for the timeless songs we know and enjoy today. This is a can't-miss event for anyone with a passion for music."

As an honor to The Wrecking Crew's work and legacy, AXS TV is featuring an encore broadcast of the acclaimed "The Beach Boys 50 Doin' It Again" documentary at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on July 18, and presenting "The Beach Boys 50 Live in Concert" immediately following the premiere. "The Wrecking Crew" was the backing band on several of The Beach Boys hits.
