Bitch just released her title track "In Us We Trust" from her new album today. In Us We Trust LP drops on July 16 via Short Story Records. Get a first listen below!
Bitch has announced her new full-length album In Us We Trust, an indie-electro rock collaboration with Billie Jo (Alligator) fused together by electric violin & chaotic energy. Having learned classical violin at the age of 4, Bitch studied fiddling with
Andrew Bird and expanded her musical experimentation horizons. She released her first solo recordMake This/Break This with legendary label Kill Rock Stars, and will release In Us We Trustproduced by Roger Paul Mason July 16 on her own Short Story Records.
With a shift in location came a shift in sound. Bitch left behind the busy city landscape to record in a secluded log cabin in Michigan. Such serenity bred the courage to write the way she performs, as an extrovert. Sonically, In Us We Trust breathes the energy of the city; the simultaneous hope and despair, the bitter edge, humor and power of human gathering.
"Ibuprofen" is an anthemic break-up song featuring a biting rap chorus and distorted vocal layers. Lyrically moody & contradictive "O, Packaging" reveals a lighter side with lush choruses and twinkling xylophone while the soulful strings change things up on growling bluesy number "Love Was A River". Title track "In Us We Trust" is a bass-driven synth heavy track about self-reflection and unity. Download the "In Us We Trust" MP3 where it premiered with
