Canadian rock sensation, Arcade Fire, will light up the stage at the 47th Annual JUNO Awards. The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) confirmed today the band will be recognized with The JUNO International Achievement Award at the JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards Presented by SOCAN and perform on CBC's broadcast of The JUNO Awards on Sunday, March 25.
The JUNO International Achievement Award recognizes Canadian artists who have achieved exemplary success on a global scale. With nine JUNO Awards, one Grammy Award and two BRITs, Arcade Fire will receive one of the highest honours awarded by CARAS. Arcade Fire will join the ranks of previous recipients, Bryan Adams, Alanis Morissette, Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Sarah McLachlan and Drake. The 47th annual JUNO Awards and JUNO Week 2018 will be hosted in Vancouver from March 19 through March 25, 2018, culminating in The JUNO Awards, on Sunday, March 25, at Rogers Arena, broadcast live nationwide 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET on CBC, CBC Radio and globally on cbcmusic.ca/junos.
