In celebration of the 311 Day, the group has announced their 30th anniversary reissue of their iconic self titled ‘Blue Album’ out July 11 featuring a 2-LP set with seven bonus tracks and will be available in two color variants (see below) - a direct to fan exclusive citrine shade and retail release blue smoke color via Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment. The reissue is 21 tracks on 2 LPs and brings together every song that was recorded by the band during the “Blue Album” sessions, and marks the first time the bonus songs have ever been released on LP.
311 released a Blue Album teaser experience here - which due to an overwhelming volume of fan traffic crashed the site within minutes.
Those who visited the site were greeted with an exterior of a record store encouraging fans to “get in line” — just like they would have done in 1995 — by submitting their email address and being added to a live leader board. Meanwhile, for the first time ever, some of the bands legendary 90’s self titled/blue album era merch is back with the classic 1995 designs and available within the All Mixed Up Records merch capsule drop!
Fans who called the number on the store window heard a voicemail from a record store “employee” listing the exclusive merch available today. Participants received a password and link for early access to preview the store at midnight ET before it opened to the public at 10 AM ET. The interactive web store (blue.311.com) lets fans explore the shop, featuring Easter eggs hinting at more content dropping before the July 11 reissue street date. It will serve as a hub for 311 fans to celebrate the “Blue Album” with exclusive merch and ongoing content drops leading up to and beyond the release.
311 is an alternative rock band known for their signature blend of rock, reggae, and funk influences. With a devoted fan following and a legacy spanning three decades, the band continues to innovate and bring fresh energy to the music scene. Their 311 Day celebrations have become a staple for fans worldwide, offering an unparalleled experience of music, community, and exclusive content.
