With the fourth of July holiday fast approaching, staff at Friendly Kia are preparing to celebrate their annual community-wide KiaFest on June 29, and June 30, 2018. Sponsored by local staples like Friendly Kia, Duke Energy, Hits 106, Main Street New Port Richey, the Tampa Bay Times, Seabee AC & Heat, Inc. and more, the annual KiaFest Main Street Blast provides area residents with a chance to enjoy a weekend of fun that doesn't require a drive into Tampa, Clearwater or St. Petersburg.
The first day of KiaFest is Friday, June 29, 2018. Beginning at 5 p.m., attendees will be able to enjoy Live music on the main stage in Sims Park, Miss Daisy Boat Tours, a food court, local crafters, a beer garden, a kid's zone with bounce houses and more. Artists scheduled to perform include Barefoot Bob & the Hope, who will begin at 6:30 p.m. and Purple Madness, a tribute to Prince, which begins at 9:00 p.m. The festival will wrap up on Friday at 11:00 p.m.
With longer hours on Saturday, June 30, 2018, attendees will be able to enjoy even more activities. These additional activities include the Friendly Kia Trolley Pull, a classic car & truck cruise-in and more. Beginning at 1 p.m., SPF 40 will kick of Saturday's music. Following them, Fade to Grace will begin at 3 p.m., an Elvis Tribute begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by Retribution at 7:00 p.m. and finally a Michael Jackson tribute at 9:00 p.m.
Both nights will end with a patriotic fireworks display.
