Jerry Joseph and Cosmo Sex School are proud to announce the initial lineup for the 2016 Dixie Mattress Festival at Stargazer Farm in Sandy, Oregon on July 22-24. The three-day camping event will feature a unique lineup of some of their favorite artists and emerging acts curated by Jerry Joseph and the Jackmormons.
For its 7th year, the festival is welcoming a group of musicians that are near and dear to all involved. The weekend kicks off with a Friday night set by alt-country legends Richmond Fontaine who will perform one of their final shows in support of their recently released farewell album, You Can't Go Back If There's Nothing To Come Back To, that will be a superb soundtrack to the grandeur and beauty of Stargazer Farm.
Guitar virtuoso (and former Little Women member) Steve Kimock will perform electric with the Jackmormons on Saturday night and join Jerry for a special acoustic duo set on Sunday afternoon. If their sets at 2001 Rolling Summer Music Festival or City Winery during Fare Thee Well last year in Chicago are any indication, each of these performances are not to be missed. Saturday also features The Bridge guitarist and singer, Cris Jacobs, with special guests.
Sunday will also feature Drive-By Truckers frontman Patterson Hood who will perform solo and stick around for the two set finale with the Jackmormons.
Stargazer Farm is 25 minutes from Portland, so while camping is encouraged to get the full festival experience, should choose to sleep in your own bed, at a hotel or nearby AirBnb/rental, there are many options not to far a drive away.
