On 23rd February 2018 Heresy Records will release A Map of The Kingdom of Ireland, an album that features works by 15 of Ireland's foremost artists and bands creating electro-acoustic music. A Map of The Kingdom of Ireland will be released in CD and digital format. The digital version of the recording includes four additional tracks. The album is the sequel to Heresy's On The Nature Of Electricity & Acoustics which was released in 2013 to international critical acclaim (https://heresyrecords.com/on-the-nature-of-electricity-acoustics-artists/).

A Map of the Kingdom of Ireland adds another chapter to the story of the genre of Irish electronic art music demonstrating the vitality, originality and progressiveness of this scene.

A Map of The Kingdom of Ireland presents a diversified landscape of musical styles from Nu-Prog to Lo-Fi, from shoe-gazing neo-punk to Contemporary Classical. It includes works by Daniel Figgis (Virgin Prunes, Princess Tinymeat), Gerry Leonard (Music Director for David Bowie, Suzanne Vega, Rufus Wainwright, Laurie Anderson, Roger Waters), Cathal Coughlan (Founder of Microdisney and Fatima Mansions), Roger Doyle "The Godfather of Irish Electronic Music" and members of the younger generation of innovative artists such as Paul Morrin and Toirse O Riordain. Also featured are two rare tracks from the groundbreaking band Princess Tinymeat, one of the most outrageous and progressive bands of the 1980's.

Heresy Records' founder Eric Fraad describing the curatorial process states, "For A Map of the Kingdom of Ireland, I hoped to achieve a focused and unified sound and feel for the record despite the range of musicians and genres. I worked closely with the artists, many of whom wrote or remixed pieces specifically for the album."
